Whereas: The National Education Association – the largest teachers’ union in the nation – has crossed the line by proclaiming full-throated support for abortion-on-demand; and Whereas: This position goes against the good conscience of many of the teachers and students the NEA professes to serve; and Whereas: During the 2018 cycle, the NEA spent a whopping $20 million of forced-dues cash in support of pro-abortion candidates and is gearing up for more in 2020; and Whereas: The U.S. Supreme Court’s decision in Janus v. AFSCME freed millions of public school teachers from being forced to pay union dues as a condition of employment; and Whereas: If hundreds – or even thousands – of teachers resign their membership in the NEA, it will cause their campaign coffers to dry up; Therefore: I am signing my Stand for Life Petition to show this Pro-Life Generation I have their back as they insist their teachers resign their membership from the National Education Association.
