Weak-kneed “Pro-Life” politicians are selling you out!

Dear Students for Life Action Supporter,

The Abortion Lobby can hardly contain their excitement.

They know their backs are against the wall with the impending Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization U.S. Supreme Court case which could be the case that reverses the horrific Roe v. Wade ruling that gave the greenlight to abortion-on-demand.

Not only that, but the Supreme Court had THREE chances to strike down Texas Heartbeat bill that bans abortion after a heartbeat can be detected (about six weeks into a pregnancy), but they kept it in place.

So, why are pro-abortion radicals so giddy right now?

Despite the fact that all the momentum is on our side, our supposed “pro-life” allies across the nation are already compromising!

In fact, a pro-abortion lawyer wrote a New York Times op-ed, stating:

“Legislators in some conservative-leaning states are spending these months before the likely downfall of Roe working to pass less extreme abortion measures than they did in 2019. Now seems like the time for anti-abortion legislators to go for broke.”

She’s right!

Now IS the time for pro-life politicians to push for the Life at Conception Act, Heartbeat Bills, and Chemical Abortion Bans.

So, why are they “settling” for late-term abortion bans that still allow for 95% of abortions?

The simple truth is these politicians are more afraid of the radical Abortion Lobby than they are of pro-lifers like you and me.

There’s only one way to change that.

Our supposed pro-life “allies” want you and me to roll over.

They want you and me to be happy with the scraps (like 15-week abortion bans that allow 95% of abortions) they throw our way.

I’m not going to stand for it.

Students for Life Action is no paper tiger.

This isn’t the first time Students for Life Action has taken on establishment “pro-life” politicians.

Just take a look at a few of our successes in the past:

• • In South Carolina – where State Representative Jay Jordan (R-63), who had previously voted for taxpayer funding of abortion, vied for the Republican nomination in the state’s special election to the State Senate this past January.Students for Life Action responded by contacting over 6,000 voters letting them know his pro-abortion voting record. Jordan went down in flames at the ballot box and was replaced by pro-life Republican Mike Reichenbach (R) in the primary by a margin of six percent.

• • In Kansas – where State Representative Jane Dirks (R-20) blocked a pro-life “Value Them Both” constitutional amendment from passing in the state in 2019.When she was up for re-election in 2020, Students for Life Action ensured her district’s voters knew her awful record on life. Dirks lost her re-election bid, and I’m happy to report that the “Value Them Both” amendment has passed and will be on the ballot this August.

• • In Arizona – where State Senator Heather Carter (R-15) voted against funding pro-life pregnancy resource centers.By educating voters on Carter’s anti-life voting record, Students for Life Action was able to defeat and replace her with pro-life champion, Nancy Barto, who sponsored SB 1457 – which makes it illegal to end the life of a preborn child because of a “genetic abnormality” (like Down’s Syndrome).

Are you sick of politicians using the pro-life movement as a talking point in election season just to stab us in the back once they get in office?

With several Justices on the U.S. Supreme Court sticking their fingers in the air to see which way the political winds are blowing before they decide the Dobbs case, you and I must insist our politicians in state capitals across the nation pass pro-life laws with TEETH.

I’m afraid the so-called “compromise” late-term abortion bans that still allow for 95% of abortions only increases the chances the Supreme Court decides to keep parts of Roe v. Wade on the books!
