Whereas: The Hyde Amendment blocks direct taxpayer funding of abortion except in cases of rape or when the life of the mother is at stake; and
Whereas: The Hyde Amendment has been in place for over four decades with bipartisan support; and
Whereas: Repeal of the Hyde Amendment is the first step to codifying the Abortion Lobby’s dream of taxpayer-funded abortion-on-demand up until the moment of birth; and
Whereas: More taxpayer funding for abortion leads to more abortion;
Therefore: As your constituent I insist you protect taxpayers’ conscience by defending the Hyde Amendment and voting against ANY legislation that repeals this critical protection.
