*** ALERT: Republicans Sabotaging Pro-Life Movement ***

Dear Students for Life Supporter,

All eyes are on November 2022.

Pro-lifers have an incredible chance to seize control of the U.S. House, Senate, and gain larger majorities in state legislatures across the nation.

Not only that, anyone who’s not living under a rock knows the U.S. Supreme Court is considering – right now – whether or not they’ll reverse Roe v. Wade this summer.

So, why are so many self-proclaimed “pro-life” politicians whittling around the edges of abortion-on-demand instead of protecting ALL life?

Sadly, despite the fact that several Supreme Court Justices are sticking their fingers in the air trying to judge the political winds, our supposed pro-life “allies” in state legislatures are signaling to the Supreme Court that we’re still “okay” with 95% of abortions!

Instead of pushing for life-saving laws like Life at Conception or Heartbeat abortion bans, many GOP leaders seem determined to only want to talk about is ending a handful of late-term abortions.

As you’ll see below, I have the proof from states like Florida, Arizona, New Hampshire, Virginia, and more.

But I’m afraid this is only increasing the chances the Supreme Court decides to keep parts of Roe v. Wade on the books!

As far as I’m concerned – with the 2022 primary season already underway as early voting in Texas Began on Valentine’s Day – you and I must send a LOUD-AND-CLEAR message to every candidate for public office:

“Stand for Life, or prepare to face the consequences at the ballot box!”

If you agree, will you please click here to sign your Statement of Pro-Life Principles right away to help me send this message to politicians across the nation?

The good news is, in just a few short days after rolling out this Statement of Pro-Life Principles, we’ve collected over 12,000 signatures.

But if you and I want to send a message with teeth, my goal is to collect at least 100,000 signed Statements of Pro-Life Principles to ensure politicians think twice about stabbing pro-lifers in the back.

The U.S. Supreme Court had THREE chances to strike down Texas’ Heartbeat Law, which bans abortion after a preborn baby’s heartbeat can be detected (about six weeks).

And they haven’t, yet, done so.

And during the oral arguments in December, the Supreme Court CLEARLY signaled they are willing to fully revisit Roe – and perhaps even REVERSE it.

The Justices have all but thrown down the gauntlet to the pro-life movement . . .

They’ve challenged us to show how strong we are, to show how serious we are about saving lives . . .

As I wrote you earlier this year, the more momentum you and I can create passing STRONG pro-life laws – like Heartbeat abortion bans, Life at Conception bills, and Chemical Abortion bans – the more likely it is that’s what the court will do.

But why our “allies” insisting that we only pass laws that ban late-term abortions??

Are they really fine with 95% of abortions continuing, so long as they can ban a handful?

Our team and student leaders are being lectured by legislators and “insider” lobbyists that we should only advocate for and be happy to accept only banning a small portion of abortions…because that’s all that’s “politically possible.”

Just consider this headline from The Washington Post earlier this month:

Fla. Republicans ditch Texas-style abortion law for what they call a ‘generous’ 15-week ban

The chief sponsor of the Florida late-term abortion ban, State Senator Kelli Stargel – a self-identified “pro-life” Republican – even went as far as to admit, “We’re not banning anything. We’re not being mean.”

My jaw hit the floor when I read that quote. We should be proud to ban abortions and be “mean” to the cruel abortion industry!

Sadly, it only gets worse.

In New Hampshire, Republican Governor Chris Sununu, who is trying to raise his national profile, was caught on camera literally begging to re-fund Planned Parenthood in his state.

You read that right, after signing ineffective 24-week abortion ban Gov. Sununu tried to get back into the good graces of his pals in the Abortion Lobby by GUTTING the very same bill and begging to send New Hampshire taxpayer dollars to fund Planned Parenthood.

In Virginia, a state that flipped from a +10 Biden win in 2020 to a Republican statewide sweep just a year later, “pro-life” Republicans are squandering this wave of momentum by quietly KILLING the strong abortion bans Students for Life Action has been lobbying for and instead replacing them with much weaker late-term abortion bans, that will save fewer babies.

While Students for Life Action is pushing for a vote on a Chemical Abortion Ban bill and an outright abortion ban in Arizona, some “pro-lifer” politicians are patting themselves on the back for passing a late-term abortion ban through the Republican-controlled State House this week.

According to the latest data from the Arizona Department of Health Services, if the late-term abortion ban that just passed would’ve been enacted in 2020, only 636 abortions committed in Arizona (less than 5%) were after the 15-week threshold.

Every life is precious.

We should celebrate any lives saved from abortion. And let me make this clear, our team will never ask political leaders to vote agaisnt a proposed law that will save some babies from abortion

But what about the other 12,550 (over 95%!) Arizona babies that were aborted in 2020?

Shouldn’t pro-lifers be doing EVERYTHING POSSIBLE, including passing the toughest pro-life laws, to save these lives right now while we have the chance?

If you agree, will you please click here to sign your Statement of Pro-Life Principles right away to help send that message to all the self-proclaimed “pro-life” politicians who are doing the bare minimum just to skate by to re-election?

But I pray you won’t just stop there. Because those who won’t heed the call from Pro-Life Grassroots to act need to be held accountable now.

After you sign your Statement of Pro-Life Principles, will you please do two additional favors for me?

FIRST, forward this message to at least FIVE of your pro-life family and friends. Ask them to sign their name on this Statement of Pro-Life Principles.

As I mentioned, my goal is to collect at least 100,000 signed Statements of Pro-Life Principles to prove to the politicians that the numbers are on our side.

If I can generate a flood of petitions, it will put every one of our supposed “allies” on notice that choosing to stand in our way will result in severe consequences as primary season heats up.

But the only way I’m going to reach that goal is with your help.

SECOND, please prayerfully consider making a generous contribution to Students for Life Action of $10, $25, $50, $100, $250, or more to help us run our 2022 Primary Elections Programs.

As I mentioned, all eyes are on November right now.

But November won’t matter a lick if a bunch of wolves in sheep’s clothing sneak past the primaries only to stab us in the back down the road.

With your financial support, Students for Life Action is launching an all-out program in up to 18 states to expose politicians’ records on Life before the critical primaries, including:

>>> Deploying hundreds of pro-life students to go door-to-door to inform voters of their politicians’ records on Life. Even in a digital world, there’s nothing more effective at persuading and turning out pro-life voters than one-on-one conversations.

And many state legislative primaries are determined by just a few thousand, or even hundreds of votes. So, we can really make a huge impact here;

>>> Melting the phones – with Get-Out-The-Vote phone call and peer-to-peer text message campaigns. This is the quickest way to ensure all the pro-life voters get out to the polls and know where their politicians stand on Life;

>>> Launching a Digital Ad Blitz in targeted districts. With digital ads we can hone in our targets to ensure we’re only talking to the voters we want to. We’ll also launch hard-hitting radio and TV ads if I can raise the resources.

You see, I fully intend to back up my threats with action. Thanks to your support, Students for Life Action is no paper tiger. We’ve proven that over the past of years.

But time is running out.

In Texas, early voting for the March 1 primary has already started!

And dozens of other state primaries are right around the corner.

You and I MUST tell them the time to act is NOW!

So, please click here to sign your Statement of Pro-Life Principles and then agree to your most generous contribution possible to help Students for Life Action launch our 2022 Primary Election programs.

For Life,

Kristan Hawkins
