Oklahoma Impeachment Petition

Oklahoma

Despite Oklahoma’s legislature passing strong pro-life legislation, three liberal activist Oklahoma Supreme Court Justices, appointed by Demcoratic Governors, repeatedly struck down critical pro-life protections. These renegade Justices have allowed their personal bias to interfere with their sworn duty to uphold the law. Students for Life Action is calling for their impeachment, so please sign this petition and add to the ground-swell calling on the Oklahoma legislature to hold them accountable for their violation of the Oklahoma Constitution.

To: My Oklahoma Legislators

WHEREAS: Oklahoma’s Legislature passed strong pro-life legislation that protects both mothers and pre-born children, drafted to not conflict in any way with the Constitution of Oklahoma or the United States;

WHEREAS: Several of Oklahoma’s Supreme Court Justices stated in their opinion striking down a pro-life law that their personal beliefs were the foundation for their decision; and

WHEREAS: Justices of the Supreme Court of Oklahoma have ignored the State Constitution and abandoned their legal responsibilites by inserting themselves into the legislative process;

WHEREAS: These Justices of the Supreme Court of Oklahoma have demonstrated their outright incompetence and willful neglect of duty, creating grounds for their impeachment;

THEREFORE: I call on you, as members of the Oklahoma Legislature, to assert your duly elected responsibility and to impeach Supreme Court Justices James Edmondson, Noma Gurich, and Yvonne Kruger for violating basic tenets of the separation of powers and failing to uphold their oaths of office.
